- Greenport, on the east end of Long Island, is the perfect little village for a day trip. A quick ride across the Sound you will find many great shops and excellent restaurants. There is a free town dock, or you can call the Mitchell Park Dock Office at (631) 477-2200 to see if they have any slips available.
- Just outside of the CT River on Old Lyme's shoreline you will find Soundview. This popular anchorage boasts a nice beach, beachside bar/restaurants and some limited shopping.

THE BLUE OAR
- The Blue Oar is a quaint riverfront restaurant in Haddam. Docking is first come first served, but it is plentiful. Its is a great place to grab a simple lunch while cruising the river. Just make sure to bring cash because they do not accept credit cards.
- Right next door the the Goodspeed Opera House in Haddam is The Gelston House. This on the water spot sports and outdoor dining area and bar with some of the most beautiful views on the CT River.
- The upscale Fresh Salt is located at Saybrook Point Inn at the mouth of the CT river. Call the marina at (860) 395-3080 to reserve a slip and enjoy great food and great views.
- Located on the Patchogue River in Westbrook, Bill's Seafood is your classic on the water fried seafood spot. Docking is first come first served and the restaurant is cash only.

HAMBURG COVE
- This beautiful sheltered cove on the CT River is the perfect spot to grab a mooring and dive in!
- Seldens Creek meanders off of the CT River in Lyme. It is a great spot to drop anchor and go for a swim.
